GirlGuiding New Zealand decided to end fundraising by selling cookies.
The decision was made last year and the time has come; after 60 years of selling biscuits, the end of an era has arrived.
As of March 31st, the delicious cookies will no longer be, so it is advisable to stock up now.
The organization says it hopes to double its main goal of empowering young women.
"Our vision is for all girls and young women to be valued, inspired and empowered to take action to change their world and become leaders in their community," said GirlGuiding NZ Executive Director Susan NGME.
She says that they will continue to provide programs to girls who use fun, adventure and friendship to develop their essential skills.
Even if the news leaves the Kiwis desperate, it may not be the end.
Ms. Coleman told NZME that the organization continued to work with Griffin's Food Company to find a way to make the cookies available at retail.
