The police chase on Tauranga ends with the arrest of a man

A police chase through Tauranga ended with an arrest this afternoon.

A police spokeswoman told the police that the police had tried to stop a vehicle that allegedly fled to police shortly before 12:30 pm in Greerton.

The vehicle apparently did not stop for the police, but the pursuit ended after the deployment of peaks.

A 26-year-old man was arrested.
