Next PS5 restock scheduled for Black Friday at GameStop, Walmart

[ad_1]

The day has finally arrived: the PS5 is now available, marking the start of a new generation of games for PlayStation fans. The PS5 and PS5 Digital, which retail for $ 500 and $ 400 respectively, have been nearly impossible to find in stock since their first pre-order in September. We saw the PS5 coming back to stock today for launch, with many stores restocking at midnight ET and Walmart offering four different restocks throughout the day (each sold out within minutes). As of that point, the PS5 is now sold out everywhere online. As launch day begins to wind down, fans still looking to secure the next-gen console are probably wondering when they’ll be able to buy the PS5 next. Here’s what you need to know if you’re looking to buy a PS5 in the near future.

The PS5 will be back in stock on Black Friday 2020

If you were unsuccessful in purchasing the PS5 at launch, don’t give up hope just yet. It’s likely that many stores are holding their inventory for Black Friday, and some retailers have even confirmed Black Friday availability. GameStop is one of those stores. The game retailer will have PS5 stock in store only on Black Friday. All stores will have a minimum of two PS5 units available when they open at 7 a.m. local time on November 27. Don’t expect them to have much more than that, though. We suggest calling your local store ahead of time to inquire about Black Friday PS5 availability.

Walmart Will also have the PS5 in stock online only on Black Friday, although it has yet to share the exact time for the restocking. If this week is anything to watch, it’s like Walmart will share exactly when you can buy the PS5 on Black Friday when the day draws closer. Walmart’s Black Friday ad is divided into three main parts, and Part 3 – which contains its main Black Friday deals and gaming deals – has yet to be released. It should hopefully shed some light on Walmart’s Black Friday PS5 restocking plans.

Playstation direct had a queue at their site earlier today, but the PS5 consoles were sold out by midday. A message said, “Check back 11/13 for availability,” so you might have another chance to buy the PS5 there this Friday.

Best buy confirmed that there will be no PS5 units in stores throughout the holiday season, so you will not see the PS5 in physical Best Buy stores until 2021. Although the PS5 appears in the ad Best Buy’s Black Friday, the retailer has not confirmed Black Friday availability to GameSpot and has said that stock will be available on BestBuy.com when it gets more units.

Of course, you can still find the PS5 and its accessories on reseller sites like StockX and Ebay, but you’ll likely pay hundreds above the MSRP for the console. For context, resale prices at StockX are currently between $ 800 and $ 900, although you can place bids to buy the console cheaper. The site has a lot of stock, so if you’re desperate it’s worth checking out if you can negotiate a decent price.

We’ll continue to update this story as we track PS5 launch day availability, but for now you can check out the top retailer listings below. Plus, check out our PS5 review for more details and our thoughts on the new console.
