The first day of free agency in the NFL was something else in the league. Hundreds of millions of dollars in cash are being thrown away despite the drop in revenue created by COVID-19.
Moving away from their MO, the New England Patriots spent more money on Monday than during the entire offseason in the past decade. It’s clear Bill Belichick and Co. want to return to relevance after their first losing season since 2000.
On the flip side, it looks like the Seattle Seahawks have remained largely calm as they decide what to do with disgruntled quarterback Russell Wilson. And while the Houston Texans have made a ton of moves, none of them are likely to change Deshaun Watson’s position.
