While Dallas Cowboys running back Ezekiel Elliott is working in Cabo (or any other resort outside the training camp), team owner Jerry Jones has everything to gain. If Jones does succeed in putting pressure on Elliott's side, the Cowboys win both on and off the field.
The final turning point of the saga is the return of Dallas rookie Tony Pollard, who played well (five runs, 42 yards, touchdown) against the Rams in the second week of the pre-season.
This led Jones to drop this zinger: "Who, now Zeke who?"
