NFL Mock Draft 2.0

The NFL draft is no more than a matter of days. In the new version of our model, the best choices are mixed and some teams take great chances. Here's how things unfold in The Big Lead's NFL Mock Draft 2.0.

1. CARDINALS OF ARIZONA – Kyler Murray, QB, Oklahoma At this point, Murray to the Cardinals seems to be the only sure thing in this project. The real question is about Josh Rosen and whether the Cardinals can get help for Murray at other times in the project. One of the reasons Rosen has had a disappointing first year is the total lack of talent around him. Kingsbury will have his guy, though.

2. San Francisco 49ers – Quinnen Williams, DT, Alabama – Nick Bosa may be the best player in this category, but Williams will not be so far behind and it's a better way to defend the Niners at the moment. They exchanged for Dee Ford and signed it for a big contract to be the spearhead of the future. Williams would absolutely devastate DeForest Buckner and could be a cornerstone of defense in the near future. The defense will be the key with the return of Jimmy Garoppolo after a knee injury, and Williams fills a formidable seventh front.

3. New York Jets – Nick Bosa, EDGE, State of Ohio – The Jets jump on the opportunity to get the guy as a favorite since August. The Jets need a defenseman to complete their young and talented defensive core, and a prospect like Bosa is not to be missed in third place. Bosa is a perfect fit if the circumstances unfold in New York.

4. Oakland Raiders – Ed Oliver, DT, Houston – Josh Allen seems to be the logical choice, but we have already found that Jon Gruden (not very high) sits on the totem. Instead, they choose an enthusiastic perspective that can affect both fast play and successful play. Oliver had 53 tackles for the loss and 13.5 bags in Houston; it is an impact player capable of disrupting any offense that attempts to do. Regarding his fiery personality (which is probably an exaggerated problem), Gruden is hand-made to deal with what Oliver can give him.

5. Tampa Bay Buccaneers – Josh Allen, EDGE, Kentucky – The Bucs have holes in their lineup and Allen would be an immediate infusion of talent and youth in a defense that was one of the worst footballs in the last year. Allen's 17 bags in his last year showed his potential, and Tampa Bay needed a constant presence on the outside. Allen has the potential to be a dangerous presence on the edge for years to come, and the Bucs have their first cornerstone of their new future.
