A few more hours and the picture of the 2020 NFL playoffs will be quite clear.
For now, however, there is still some noise in the air. Let’s take a look at how the playoffs go after the first window of games of Week 17, from who’s in to who’s out.

Who is still alive:
Indianapolis Colts (qualifying for the playoffs with victory)
Miami Dolphins (clinch a playoff berth with Colts loss)
Tennessee Titans vs. Houston Texans
What this means: The Titans would win the AFC South and take the 4th seed with a victory. Tennessee clinched a playoff berth due to the loss to the Dolphins.
Jacksonville Jaguars vs. Indianapolis Colts
What this means: The Colts would win the AFC South and clinch the 4th seed with a victory and a loss for the Titans to the Texans. Indianapolis would instead take the 7th seed (last place for the Wild Card) with a win if the Titans win. The Colts are eliminated with a loss.
Buffalo Bills vs. Miami Dolphins
Result: Bills 35, dolphins 13
What this means: The Bills clinched the second seed in the AFC with the win and locked the Steelers in the third seed. The Dolphins need a loss in Indianapolis to clinch the 7th seed.
Baltimore Ravens vs. Cincinnati Bengals
Result: Ravens 38, Bengals 3
What this means: The Ravens clinched the 5th seed (the best place for the Wild Card) in the AFC with victory and loss to Miami.
Cleveland Browns vs. Pittsburgh Steelers
Result: Browns 24, Steelers 22
What this means: The Browns clinched the 6th seed (second place for the Wild Card) in the AFC with the win, as the Ravens took the 5th seed with the victory over Baltimore.

Who is now:
1. Green Bay Packers (would win 1 seed against the Bears OR loss for the Seahawks against the 49ers)
2. Saints of New Orleans (would be seeded 2 with a win and one loss for the Packers OR one loss for the Seahawks; could land a seed with a win, one loss for the Packers and a victory for the Seahawks)
3. Seattle Seahawks (Won at least 3 seeds; would take 2 seeds with victory, Saints would win and Packers would lose OR win, Packers would win and Saints would lose; would take 1 seed with victory, loss of Packers and the defeat of the Saints)

Green Bay Packers vs. Chicago Bears
What this means: The Packers would take the NFC seed 1 with a victory. With a loss, Green Bay could still clinch the second seed with a loss for the Saints and a victory for the Seahawks. The Bears would take the 7th seed (last place for the Wild Card) in the NFC with a win.
New Orleans Saints vs. Carolina Panthers
What this means: The Saints would take the NFC’s second seed with a victory. New Orleans would take the seed 1 with a win, a loss for the Packers and a victory for the Seahawks.
Seattle Seahawks vs. San Francisco 49ers
What this means: The Seahawks would take second place in the NFC with a win, a Packers win and a loss of the Saints OR a win, a Saints win and a loss of the Packers. The Seahawks were seeded 1 with a win, one loss for the Packers and one loss for the Saints.
Arizona Cardinals vs. Los Angeles Rams
What this means: The Cardinals or the Rams would take a playoff berth with a win.
Washington Football Team vs. Philadelphia Eagles
What this means: Washington would win the NFC East and take the NFC 4th seed with a victory.
New York Giants vs. Dallas Cowboys
Result: Giants 23, Cowboys 19
What this means: The Cowboys were eliminated with the loss. The Giants would take the fourth seed if Washington lost to the Eagles.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers vs. Atlanta Falcons
Result: Boucaniers 44, Falcons 27
What this means: The Buccaneers took the 5th seed (best place for the Wild Card) in the NFC with the win.
