NFL Reacts to Mike Davis' Signature by Bears

The Chicago Bears reportedly took part in the freestyle frenzy Monday night after the signing announcement by the Seattle Seahawks' former running back team, Mike Davis. His addition to the list will give the Bears a young running back that matches what head coach Matt Nagy is looking for.

A South Carolina Alu, Davis was a fourth-round pick among the San Francisco 49ers in the fourth round of the 2015 NFL draft. After two years with the 49ers, Davis has spent the past two seasons with the Seahawks. He racked up 862 yards on 234 carries with five career touchdowns. He also caught 59 passes for 408 yards with a touchdown. He had the biggest workload of his career in 2018, totaling 514 yards on 112 runs and 34 passes for 214 yards.

Davis joins a Bears backfield in which Jordan Howard and Tarik Cohen are already under contract. Howard has been the subject of commercial rumors during the off-season and his status at the club seems to be unresolved.
