Rumors of Jadeveon Clowney's trade touched NFC West.
The drama did not reach the heights of Antonio Brown, but he certainly had a decent start. If you did not follow, Clowney left the Texas Texans training camp, refusing to sign his franchise agreement. Until he discovered that he was being bought in the Miami Dolphins. The holdout then continued. According to Aaron Wilson of the Houston Chronicle, the Seattle Seahawks spoke to the Texans about a possible deal. If the Seahawks won, that would get Clowney into NFC West, and he would face the San Francisco 49ers twice a year.
Which makes it now a 49ers problem.
The Seahawks traded defenseman Frank Clark to the Kansas City Chiefs during the off-season, but then drafted L. J. Collier from TCU, considered the possible replacement. Maybe the Seahawks want someone on the other side or that they do not think they have enough passes. Anyway, it's now something we have to watch. I do not think anyone wants Jimmy Garoppolo to face Clowney twice a year.
Seattle has the capital to do it. By Tankathon, they have a first, two second and a third for the first three rounds. Clowney would probably need at least a second round pick, but I would not be surprised that it costs a bit more considering her youth.
