Nick Cannon is taking a break from making babies after welcoming four children in less than a year.
“My therapist said I should be single,” the 40-year-old father of seven told Entertainment Tonight in an interview on Friday. “Okay, give me a bus break.” I am [gonna] take a break from having children.
Cannon welcomed three children in June alone – son Zen and twins Zion Mixolydian and Zillion Heir – with model Alyssa Scott and Abby De La Rosa, respectively.
Six months earlier, Cannon’s ex, Brittany Bell, had given birth to their daughter, Powerful Queen. The two also share a 4 year old son named Golden.
The host of “Wild’n Out” also has twins, a 10-year-old Moroccan and Monroe, with his ex-wife Mariah Carey.
While seven kids may seem like a lot, that’s exactly what Cannon always wanted.
“I come from a big family, I have several siblings,” Cannon also told ET, adding: “[and] being raised in an unorthodox family by my grandparents at times, I have experienced such a wide range of upbringing that I have such love and passion for children and family. I also want a big family.
It echoes what Cannon said in July about having all of her kids on purpose.
“I have no accident[s]He told the Power 106 radio show at the time. “Believe me, there are a lot of people I could have gotten pregnant with that I didn’t.”
According to Cannon, “The ones who got pregnant are the ones who were supposed to get pregnant. “
