Nick Cave and Warren Ellis release new Carnage album: Listen

Nick Cave and Warren Ellis have released a new album, as promised – their first non-soundtrack feature duet. Carnage was recorded during lockdown and will receive CD and vinyl pressing for release on May 28, via Goliath Records. Listen to it below.

Cave described the album in a statement as “a brutal but very beautiful record nestled in a community disaster.” Ellis added: “Make Carnage was an accelerated process of intense creativity. All eight songs were there in one form or another in the first two and a half days.

Cave and the Bad Seeds’ latest album Ghosteen was released in 2019. Last year, during the lockdown, Cave gave a career piano concert without an audience. It was published as Idiot Prayer: Nick Cave alone at Alexandra Palace.
