Nick Kyrgios responds energetically to the release of the US Open

Nick Kyrgios reacted in a typically arrogant manner to ATP after being evacuated from the US Open.

The Australian tennis star sank 7-6, 7-6, 6-3 in straight sets against his opponent Andrey Rublev at Arthur Ashe Stadium in New York.

Apart from the strange complaint that the spotlights hindered his vision and called a line judge a "whistleblower", there was exceptionally no major explosion by Kyrgios.

But he made a number of comments after being asked about his tweet suggesting that the ATP was "pretty corrupt" and that it might yet be suspended.

"I guess I've been on the road for five and a half months now. It's not easy, "said Kyrgios.

"Would I be delighted [the suspension]? I do not know if I look at him like that, "he smiles.

"I do not know, I do not have a say I guess it's out of my control.

"I do not have [spoken to anyone], to be honest. I mean, no, I did not hear anything about it. "

After asking what the ATP circuit should do, Kyrgios replied, "I do not know, man, what do you think they should do? Basically, you might have an answer.

"Yeah, I guess I'm a pretty boring player, I do not do much for the sport, so …"

The Australian could end up in trouble for his recent comments against the ATP

Kyrgios could be banned for his latest blast, although the 24-year-old has removed the tweet later.

He has to go to the Laver Cup in Geneva on September 20th, but these plans could now be reduced.

This is the latest in a long series of controversies around the player – with many coming this summer.

He mentioned the linesman during his defeat against Rublev

He was fined $ 113,000 (£ 93,254) for five separate acts of unsportsmanlike conduct during his loss to the Cincinnati Masters, which led Andy Murray to condemn his behavior.

The rap sheet included leaving the court without permission to crush two rackets and calling Irish referee Fergus Murphy a "fuck tool".

Murray said, "I talked to him a little bit after the match – it was not good and I felt for Fergus because he should not have to endure it.

"It's obviously his, and I think most of the time in Washington two weeks ago, he did a good job of helping himself and the crowd.

"But of course, this week he's back to what he's been doing before. You just hope he'll know it, because a week like in Washington (where Kyrgios won the title) is really good for the tennis, but last night that's not the case, I hope he'll understand. "

Meanwhile, Rublev, 21, will face Matteo Berretini in the next round.
