Only a year before the accident in February 2018, Pendergrast and Yerrid welcomed twins, a little boy named Logan Joseph and a girl named Layla Rae. Throughout his recovery, Pendergrast said that he had only been able to see one child at a time, as Yerrid could not travel with both of them yet.
