While there’s no denying that the all-new Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl is a ton of fun, fans have been very vocal that the iconic Nicktoon characters aren’t backed by the iconic voices we’ve always known them to be.

Getting the many A-list actors (like Tom Kenny or Bill Fagerbakke) to record lines or just lend their prerecorded voices is surely a difficult task that may not match the parameters of time or budget, but the community already has it. started doing it. it works on their own via mods and dubs.

Today we have a quick clip of some NASB match footage between Spongebob Squarepants and Patrick Star with a whole bunch of sound bytes from the show. Most of them are growls and screams to accompany and receive punishment, but we get a “HI-YAH!” from SpongeBob SquarePants from the epic karate episode.

Additionally, it looks like the publisher used a really good imitation of the yellow sponge for the ending streak in which he yells at his opponent during the knockout. Now we’ll let you know that this song includes the use of a four letter word, so you might not want to let the kids hear that part if they’re around.

Check out the 17-second clip here and let us know what you think about it in the comments afterwards. How much would having voices add to this game, and is that particular aspect a success or a break for you personally?

If you’d like to see more in a similar vein, we’ve also released a story featuring the entire intro trailer for the game along with a ton of original voiceover clips. Make sure to take a look if you haven’t seen it yet.
