Nicki Minaj does not fall without a fight.
After Tracy Chapman sued Minaj for violating copyright on her leaked song with Nas titled "Sorry," Minaj denied any wrongdoing.
Like Page Six previously reported, the song was supposed to be part of Minaj's new album, but she could not erase Chapman's sample of her song "Baby Can I Hold You". Chapman said that Minaj's team had contacted her team in June to see if she was going to sign the song. Chapman, 54, refused a few weeks later through his manager.

Now, according to The Blast, Minaj, 36, admitted that his team had asked Chapman to use his music several times and claimed that these requests had been denied. She also claimed to have recorded the song before getting permission, but she left the track of her album because she did not get permission from Chapman.
The song was finally leaked to Funkmaster Flex, who posted it on social media, making it so viral.

Minaj and her team argue that the use of the Chapman sample was fair dealing and asserts that Chapman does not hold the copyright on the sampled track.
The rapper "Barbie Dreams" demands that the entire trial be dismissed.
