Warzone star Nick ‘NICKMERCS’ Kolcheff believes the C58 is going to go meta after the recent round of buffs and nerfs, comparing it to the AMAX pre-nerf.
While Warzone has undergone some changes and the weapons have been upgraded and nerfed, many players have tried to get ahead of the meta-changes by picking up different weapons.
NICKMERCS is one of those players who’s always on the cutting edge of change, giving his thoughts on what could become the best gun in battle royale, and what underrated sneaky choices are deadly as well.
Well, after a slew of changes in the Season 4 Reloaded update, the FaZe Clan star believes the C58 rifle is going to rise through the ranks as it has a huge advantage over some others.
The C58 assault rifle was released in season 4.
Speaking on his July 17th video, Nick revealed that C58 helped him achieve a whole new personal best for eliminations in Warzone after the update and it’s a bit ‘broken’ right now.
“This C58 pistol is going to take over Warzone, I’ll tell you right now,” the YouTuber said, begging viewers to upgrade. “Listen to me closely, this weapon is the best long-range weapon to use right now. Believe me.
“There’s been a big, big update, a lot of changes, a lot of nerfs, a lot of buffs for a lot of different weapons, this is it. It’s kind of its AMAX, pre-nerf feel and it’ll be the meta, if it hasn’t already, trust me.

Nick is not alone either. His colleague YouTuber Warzone JGOD has chosen the weapon as a benchmark following the changes and players are already following suit.
According to statistics from WZRanked, the C58 has become the fifth most used weapon in Warzone at the moment, with only the Krig-6 and Grau having larger increases in selection rates. So it’s clear that some players already like it.
