Nicole Kidman reveals she was “gone” when Keith Urban proposed to New York at 5 a.m. with flowers

Nicole Kidman opened up about how her husband Keith Urban proposed to her on Tuesday during a remote appearance on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon.

The 54-year-old actress, who looked lovely in a pink floral-print dress with her loose blonde hair and bright red lipstick, was asked by host Jimmy, 47, about the possibility of getting engaged in New York with Keith, 53.

“Did Keith Urban just make you lose your mind?” When did you know? Jimmy asked Nicole.

“He sat on the front porch of my apartment in New York City,” she said. “I went out at 5 in the morning, and it was my birthday, and it had flowers. And that was it. I was screwed. I’m like ‘Yes, I will marry you’. ‘

Jimmy then congratulated them on celebrating their 15th wedding anniversary.

– For a second, I thought you said 50, said Nicole. “I hope someday, but 15 years old, which is pretty amazing, right? “

Jimmy asked her if they were celebrating or if they had any surprise celebrations to commemorate their birthdays.

Then he said he knew that Nicole, like him, doesn’t like surprises.

“No, I don’t,” she said. “I don’t like surprise parties. I had a surprise party once and got a cold sore on the spot. … I literally did it was too stressful. It was like I was seeing apparitions, it was weird.

Jimmy said he could be surprised and Nicole joked, “Yeah, we know that.”

He then asked her if she would ever do a duet album with Keith and she said no.

“I have this thing … stay in your lane, don’t you?” ”Nicole said. “I shouldn’t be trying to get in his lane. I’m fine where I am.

She said she was singing but didn’t feel comfortable singing.

Jimmy then asked him what it was like to act and produce his new show on Hulu called Nine Perfect Strangers. He first asked her to explain to the audience what the show was about.

“This show is such a trippy trip,” she said.

Nicole said the show was about nine foreigners who went to a wellness retreat, led by her character Masha Dmitrichenko. She said she played a Russian woman who treated people for their trauma or whatever they were going through. She said it all happened in episode eight of the show.

Jimmy said he heard she stayed in character all the time. She said she had, which was really weird. She said that she only knew the other actors as her character Masha.

Nicole also played a game with Jimmy to see how well they knew each other. He then both wrote their answers in secret and if they both matched they would get a point. For the first question, he asked her what her biggest fear was.

She didn’t write anything and Jimmy wrote “sharks”.

– This is so wrong, said Nicole. “I love sharks. I have been diving with sharks and love them. ‘

Nicole showed her her empty tray and said she was not afraid.

Jimmy then asked him which Disney character he looked most like. She wrote “Little Mermaid” and he wrote “Mickey Mouse”.

He then asked her to decide if her karaoke song was “Mama Mia” by Abba or “You Shook Me All Night” by AC / DC. She chose AC / DC.

“I love AC / DC,” Nicole said.

The next question was which one of them was more likely to get a tattoo. They both agreed that neither of them would ever get one. Jimmy said if he got a tattoo he would get a freckle.

Jimmy asked her which emoji she used the most and she revealed it was the heart.
