Night King actor "Game of Thrones": this is what the actor who played the role of Night King in "Game of Thrones" in real life

While many characters were killed during the Sunday episode of "Game of Thrones", the disappearance of the king of the night by Arya Stark, and the disintegration of his army of seers and White Walkers, were probably the only ones to receive the applause from the supporters. Even though the night king may be dead after the Battle of Winterfell, the actor who played it is still very much alive.

The king of the night was played by 48-year-old actor and stuntman Vladimír Furdík since the sixth season of the series, replacing actor Richard Brake, reports Entertainment Weekly (EW). The Slovak artist may have blue eyes, but the rest of his eyes are prosthetics, makeup and television magic.

The actor regularly publishes photos and videos of himself, his fellow actors and his daily life on Instagram, revealing the man under the mask.

He even posts images and videos behind the scenes of the series. In March, he shared an image showing the process of becoming the king of the night, his neck completely covered with prostheses and his face made up.

The actor stated that he was part of the hit drama before playing the role of Night King, but that he did a trick after performing the role of the White Walker who fought – and was killed by – Jon Snow in "Hardhome" of the fifth season. Then David Benioff and D.B. Weiss asked him if he would assume the role of king of the night during seasons 6 to 8, he told EW in March. "I never asked why," said Furdík. "Maybe they were happy with what I did in season five."

He also explained what his character wanted out of destruction and death. "He never wanted to be the king of the night," Furdík said. "I think he wants to take revenge." Everyone in this story has two sides: a bad side and a good side.The king of the night has only one side, a bad one side."
