In 2019, Nike kept the promise of the Marty McFly Mags by introducing the first Adapt BB self-tightening basketball sneakers, and now it’s plugging the technology into one of its most recognizable shoes. As part of a 25th anniversary release, the patent leather-covered Air Jordan XI is coming out in both a black / white Jubilee color and in this Air Jordan XI Adapt model equipped with automatic lacing.
Like previous Adapt models, the Jordan XI allows users to change the colors of the lights and adjust the fit through an app connected to the shoes via Bluetooth. There’s no listed price – Nice Kicks sets them at $ 500 – but the shoes will go on sale through the Nike SNKRS app on December 30.
