Nintendo has finally announced its next iteration on the switch, this time named "Switch Lite". The new version is considered "dedicated to handheld games" and has built-in controls rather than joycons. Switch Lite will be available starting September 20th for $ 199.99. It comes in three colors: yellow, turquoise and gray. A special edition Pokemon has also been announced and will be available "until stocks run out".
Switch Lite does not offer many of its big brother's options like a crutch for table games or support for video output on a TV. However, it can play all games currently in the Nintendo Switch library that support the portable mode. Players can find their favorite games on the Nintendo online store and search for the symbol of the handheld.
