Nintendo of America and its president Doug Bowser have filed a lawsuit against alleged Team Xecuter boss Gary Bowser for infringing Nintendo’s copyright by creating and selling pirating Nintendo Switch devices. As Polygon reported, this lawsuit has been filed in Seattle court and aims to indict Bowser (not to be confused with Bowser, the King of the Koopas) with two counts of trafficking and a violation of the right to ‘author. According to Nintendo, Bowser runs an “international hacker network” that sells these Switch hacking devices designed to bypass Nintendo’s security measures to run pirated Switch games.

This battle Nintendo is undertaking is part of its plan to end the “serious and worsening international problem” of piracy. In the lawsuit, Nintendo says Bowser’s actions “continue to put more than 79 million Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch Lite systems at risk of piracy.”

Nintendo is seeking to end Bowser’s operations and end damages equivalent to $ 2,500 for each device trafficked and $ 150,000 for each copyright infringement.Nintendo has no tolerance for those who seek to infringe its copyright. In 2018, Nintendo was awarded $ 12 million as a result of his lawsuit against two ROM hosting sites, and in 2020, he sued a TikTok influencer and OnlyFans star for the Pokemon brand and merchandise.
