Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch Lite created not one, but two free games, or more specifically, Capcom made two of its games free on Switch and Switch Lite. After yesterday’s Nintendo Direct – which featured the announcement of Splatoon 3, a new Super Smash Bros. Ultimate DLC fighter, and a new Mario Golf – Capcom decided to outdo everyone by doing both Ghosts and Goblins and 1943: The Battle of Midway free download.

The first is released to celebrate the upcoming launch of Resurrection of ghosts and goblins. After Resurrection of ghosts and goblins Releasing on February 25, the game will no longer be free to play and will instead be available as a standalone purchase. That said, if you download the game before, it’s up to you to keep it forever.

In the meantime, 1943: The Battle of Midway seems like a permanent gift. The shoot ’em up arcade game debuted in 1987, and to this day it is widely regarded as one of the best and most popular arcade games of all time. Like Ghosts and Goblins, it is also free to keep once downloaded.

It is important to note that all of this information above is subject to change. In other words, everything is correct at the time of posting, but as of the time of reading this some or all of that may have changed.
