Nintendo Switch Leak teases the upcoming release of a popular RPG

The Nintendo Switch appears to be receiving a port of a relatively popular action-RPG in the coming month. The information comes from the official Nintendo website, although the announcement of the game has yet to be confirmed by the corresponding developer or publisher.

The specific game mentioned that could be coming to Switch is that of Kingdom Come: Deliverance. The title was developed by Warhorse Studios and first released on consoles and PC in 2018, but it still hasn’t come to Switch since then. The way in which kingdom come The leak for Switch came via Nintendo’s Japanese website, which lists the game as releasing on the platform next month on February 18, 2021.

The list for Kingdom Come: Deliverance on the Nintendo site is however a bit special on a major point. The game is specifically called the Royal Edition, which is a version of the game that has not arrived on other platforms. It is possible that this is just the specific name of that port on Switch, but that remains to be seen.

Something that’s also important to note with this potential release is that, assuming it’s real, it might not be a direct port. Some mentioned that due to kingdom come running on CryEngine, it might be a bit more difficult to bring to Switch than other games. However, in the past Nintendo started offering users the ability to play games through the cloud rather than natively downloading them to hardware. An example of this is specifically with Control which released on Switch last year but was only playable through the cloud. Yes kingdom come has proven to be a difficult game to bring to the platform, Warhorse might choose to go that route instead.

Obviously if Kingdom Come: Deliverance is coming to Switch next month, you imagine we’ll find out soon. If any further announcements are made regarding this new iteration of the game, we’ll be sure to keep you updated here on ComicBook.com.
