A cheaper version of Nintendo on the Switch should come out this fall, according to a report released in Japan Nikkei newspaper. As stated earlier, the device is said to be smaller and revolves around the portable game, but Nikkei says that it will retain the ability to be plugged into a TV.

According to today's report, a more powerful version of "new generation", with a major overhaul, is unclear. Nikkei refers to the improved switch model that The Wall Street Journal reported is likely to come this year.

NikkeiThe report focuses primarily on Nintendo's internal culture and future challenges. Among other anecdotes, he cites the fact that a major supplier of parts of the company did not learn last December that the development of the mysterious activity "Quality of Life" had been interrupted – five years after his first announcement.

"Quality of Life" concerned a sleep monitoring project led by former President Satoru Iwata, who died in 2015, and Nintendo expressed doubts about its viability soon after. According to a Nikkei-speaking source, the project was canceled because the company was not able to produce a "Nintendo-type product."
