Nintendo Switch version 11.0.0 patch notes: Easier sharing of screenshots

A new Nintendo Switch update rolled out on November 30 with a few small changes – but most importantly, Switch owners can now transfer screenshots wirelessly through their smart devices. Previously, sharing screenshots on the Switch meant removing the USB drive or uploading images to Twitter or Facebook. Additionally, users can use USB cable to transfer screenshots to computer.

The software update also included 12 new user icons, a trending feature that shows what your friends are playing, and the addition of Nintendo Switch Online to the homepage menu. Brazilian Portuguese has also been added as a language. Nintendo has also rolled out a new feature that automatically downloads saved save data has been added to the Save Data Cloud, along with the ability to name the preset button mapping.

The full changelog is available on the Nintendo website. The software update should download automatically the next time you start your Switch, but if it doesn’t, you can update it manually from system settings if needed.
