Nintendo has been promoting its latest Labo kit with the help of Green Toad and things get a little bothered.
But first, a little background can be helpful: Line is a messaging service that includes many features of a social network. It is a popular application in Japan, although it is also available in North America. The official Nintendo Line account has a strange obsession for the green toad and has been working on it in promotional material for years.
Which brings us to the latest strangeness of Toad with Nintendo's Line account: a short video that shows one of Labo's pedals used to … give Toad a workout? We think?

Toad is supposed to do sit-ups in this video, and these sit-ups are exactly what I thought after watching the clip. Toad helped show some of the other toys that came with the Labo VR kit.
This is not the first time Nintendo has used Toad to promote Labo, the following video is from early 2018:
All these clips are innocent, but they also leave room for other less pure interpretations and thoughts. These are supposed to be family friendly toys!
