In a long post on Facebook, Darden mentioned his withdrawal. He accused unnamed people of threatening his family and said that he did not know if he would disclose the reasons he was withdrawing from the case.

"I do not understand why, in 2019, some people would deny a Black his right to the assistance of a 6th Amendment lawyer," wrote Darden. "Or why the defense of such a man should raise threats not only against me but also against my children."

He stated that the right to the assistance of a lawyer is not only a constitutional right, but also a civil right.

"As in 1995, the Cowards never change," Darden said, citing the threats he had suffered in Simpson's lawsuit. "These days, these cowards do not send letters, they sit idly behind keyboards threatening the mother and the children of a man, and some people think it's funny.This n & rsquo; Is not the case and I will never forget it. "

Darden ended his post by saying that he would continue to flourish, to be loved and to "walk with kings".

"I will pursue my quest for fairness and justice on behalf of my clients and those charged with crimes," he wrote. "After 25 years, some of them still have not learned: their lies and their threats will never deter me from my mission."

Hussle, 33, whose real name is Ermias Asghedom, was a beloved rapper, entrepreneur, and philanthropist from his Los Angeles community. He was shot in March in front of his clothing store.
