A raging bull raged in a rural area of New Jersey, throwing his owner and loading a police car before being shot, police said.
The crash broke out around 3 pm Friday, when police arrived at Houses Corner Road in response to several calls to a cow in the middle of the road.
Instead, Wendy McDermott, the owner of the beast, told them that the cattle were in fact a bull – and a very aggressive one.
McDermott informed the police that she was on her way to convince the big animal with food to return to the grounds of her farm.
At first, the bull conscientiously followed his car on a winding gravel road, but hit it and tried to climb it several times.
When McDermott came out of the car to persuade her through an open portal, the animal suddenly cracked – charging her against her and throwing her in all directions.
McDermott began shouting for his life, telling the cops that the bull was to be shot while she was rushing into the patrol car of agent Arlene Lippencott.
Other patrol units arrived at the scene – and two officers opened fire on the bull and shot him when he started charging their car.
McDermott, who lives on Houses Corner Road, was transported to Newton Memorial Hospital, where she received many stitches. She also suffered cuts and bruises to the upper body.
She told the police that the bull had recently become aggressive with her husband.
McDermott could not be reached.
