Hope you haven’t put your shovels away from last week’s winter storm yet. The next round will take place on Sunday. How much we get is still a question, but 11 different forecasters agree on one thing. You will need this shovel.
The overall forecast ranges from 3 to 8 inches, with a slight offset having a big impact on the amount of snow, sleet or rain that different areas receive. The heaviest bands of snow at the moment are targeting central Jersey.
It should all start around sunrise on Sunday, with very heavy snowfall in the morning. The snow will likely lead to dangerous travel conditions, meteorologists said.
Steven DiMartino, Head of Weather NY NJ PA forecasting company, is optimistic about the storm, warning residents that the snow will come “like a freight train” and urging people to stay off the roads tomorrow.
In anticipation of Sunday snowfall, winter storm warnings and advisories are in effect in 15 counties primarily through Sunday evening.
Here’s what many forecasters are saying for what’s to come, starting Saturday afternoon.
