EAST LANSING – A record will have to wait another day.
Michigan State Soccer Head coach Mark Dantonio has to wait for the Big Ten game to be offended.
THE SCORE OF THE BOX: ARIZONA STATE 10, NO. 18 STATE OF MICHIGAN 7
Eno Benjamin's touchdown touchdown with 50 seconds to go and a raucous comeback allowed Arizona State to defeat the Spartans in 19th place on Saturday at Spartan, ranked 19th at Spartan Stadium.
This prevented Dantonio from overtaking Duffy Daugherty in the program. They will remain tied with 109 wins as the Spartans (2-1) start Big Ten next week at Northwestern (noon, ABC).

MSU had the chance to send the game in overtime, with quarterback Brian Lewerke leading the Spartans into scoring with an ASU penalty, then a 25-yard pass to Darrell Stewart.
Matt Coghlin seemed to tie the match with a 42-yard kick after the MSU offensive and the special teams' units struggled to figure out what was supposed to be on the field with 11 seconds to go.
But the kick was canceled after the replay showed that the Spartans had 12 men on the field.

The next 47 runners from Coghlin sailed right. But on the game, it seems that Arizona State's Cam Phillips jumped over the center to try to block the kick, which should have been a 15-yard penalty.
It was the third missed goal of the junior kick.
Lewerke finished 24 of 38 out of 291 yards. Collins had 72 yards on the floor. MSU had 404 yards of offense.
Daniels had 140 yards and 37, including a 15-yard scorer on the last TD with the Sun Devils in fourth and 13th. The real freshman also had a 40-yard pass to wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk, after MSU defenseman Josh Butler stumbled on the cover at the start of the race.
