Broncos general manager John Elway said he would talk about a camp with cornerback Chris Harris about a possible new contract once the project is over, but he does not seem to be saying that they would speak immediately after closing.
James Palmer of NFL Media reports that there was no discussion negotiations of new contracts between the two sides since the project ended on Saturday.
The last round of talks would have resulted in a $ 15 million search per season by Harris, while the Broncos were reluctant to release this figure. If both parties remain attached to these positions, any further discussion may not be productive.
Palmer adds that there are still teams interested in a potential exchange, which would leave the Broncos the chance to get something back for a player who has not yet introduced himself to the off-season program . The Broncos, however, were not at the rendezvous, so to separate from Harris would leave them now in a crucial position.
