PARIS (AP) – The Paris prosecutor's office said that an investigation had failed to find evidence to support allegations of rape of a woman in Paris. against the filmmaker Luc Besson.

The woman lodged a complaint in May 2018, accusing her of having been raped and drugged by the 59-year-old director at the Le Bristol Paris hotel.

The prosecutor's office said Monday that the investigators had not found evidence of rape.

The law firm representing Besson said the filmmaker was satisfied with the prosecutor's decision and said he had always denied the woman's allegation.
