No plot of Captain Marvel's Fandango ticket sales

I've noticed on Twitter that some fans claim that there is a plot between Disney and Fandango regarding ticket sales for Captain Marvel.

Fans say they can only buy tickets on Fandango next weekend for Captain Marvel and no other movie.

This last statement is true and I checked it myself. Currently, only Captain Marvel tickets are available to be purchased next weekend on Fandango, but all other movies are grayed out and unavailable.

Captain Marvel Fandango's conspiracy

As for the issue of a conspiracy between Disney and Fandango (Fandango's president worked for Disney) regarding ticket sales, the statement seems to be false.

The simple reason why Captain Marvel This is currently the only film available to buy tickets for the next weekend, is that the local cinemas have not yet made their schedule for the other films that will be broadcast next weekend.

As Captain Marvel is a new version, it already has a defined number of screens on which it will be projected, but the other films, those previously released, must be programmed manually by the theaters, and they transmit the program to Fandango, up to date on Monday or Tuesday before the weekend.

Captain Marvel Fandango Tickets

So, for example, by checking Fandango, only tickets for Captain Marvel can be bought next Friday (March 8th), with Alita: Battle Angel currently unavailable and grayed out. The reason is that local theaters have not yet scheduled the number of sessions and at what time. Alita: Battle Angel will take place, which is why nothing is available for the film next weekend on Fandango. The local theater will determine the time intervals for Alita (and other movies), then send the information to Fandango. I've also checked the ATOM Tickets app and it's the same thing.

So, there is no plot and everything should be updated next week.

Thanks to Odin movie blog on Twitter and in the following video for explanations. Captain Marvel opens on March 8th.
