No shots fired at Glenbrook Square, the mall is back

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (Fort Wayne’s NBC) – Police responded to Glenbrook Square shopping center on Friday afternoon after reporting a fight and gunfire.

At this point, the NBC News team in Fort Wayne can confirm that the mall and authorities have given the green light.

Video obtained by police shows a group of men fighting outside Forever21 when a pistol was fired.

Police summoned SWAT and negotiators to resolve the incident and carried out a full evacuation.

Police said no shell casings, victims or suspects were found inside the mall.

Previously, police had asked members of the public to avoid the entire mall and parking lot for now.

They say that once the mall is emptied, they will go back there and look for any evidence and suspicious clues.

Authorities tell us the mall has reopened and will operate during normal hours.
