Noah Centineo, who has been widely recognized for his roles in the movie Netflix To all the boys I've loved before and Freeform The animators, is in talks to assume the leading role of He-Man in Masters of the universe, the film adaptation developed by Mattel Films with Sony Pictures.

It is based on the hit toy line of the 1980s that resulted in an animated TV show and a 1987 feature film with Dolph Lundgren in He-Man. Adam and Aaron Nee are committed to making the photo and write the screenplay with Art Marcum and Matt Holloway.

He-Man is a muscular medieval guy who tries to ward off the evil Skeletor and his dark armies as a good or bad fight for Castle Grayskull's control. Currently, Masters of the universe is scheduled for December 20th. Todd Black, Jason Blumenthal and Steve Tisch, producers of Escape Artists, produce. Centineo recently started production on the TATBILB more and should appear later this year in the Sony showroom The angels of Charlie to restart.

The Wrap first reported this news.
