Actor Noah Centineo (To all the boys I've loved before) is officially committed to playing the muscular hero He-Man in the upcoming Sony Masters of the Universe live action film, according to news reports. He had been speaking for the role for some time.

"Yes, yeah, yeah, yeah, Masters of the Universe! I have an affinity of being in underwear," Centineo said by appearing in The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon on Monday while promoting his recent movie Perfect Date. "Thank you, thank you very much, I am very excited, it is an excellent opportunity."

The new film will be directed by Aaron and Adam Nee and produced by David Goyer. Writer Iron Man, Matt Holloway and Art Marcum, are on board for writing the film Masters of the Universe.

There are not many other details about the new film, which is based on the retro He-Man cartoon and the masters of the universe and the Mattel toy line, which was very popular in the 1980s.

Masters of the Universe tells the adventures of Prince Adam, heir to the throne of the planet Eternia, who uses a magical power sword to turn himself into a warrior, He-Man.

A previous live action film from Masters of the Universe came out in 1987, with Dolph Lundgren in the role of He-Man.

The theatrical release date for the upcoming Masters of the Universe has not been announced yet and Sony has not immediately responded to a request for comment.
