The Mets now have six more games than the 500 mark in the season after their 4-3 victory over the Indians on Wednesday night. J.D. Davis was the hero, hitting his first career stop in the tenth inning. He is second in Newfoundland with a batting average of .371 and tied for ninth with .429 in base since the All-Star break. The team has now won 12 of its last 13 home games and has 36-21 wins at Citi Field this year. With a win tonight, she would equal the total number of home wins in 2017 and 2018. Wilson Ramos is currently on a run of 15 strikes, the longest running series in major tournaments. The last game in a series of 15 defeats was David Wright from June 9 to 25, 2012.

Who starts for the Mets?

RHP Noah Syndergaard (8-6, 3.86 ERA) will face the Cleveland Indians for the first time in his career. The right-hander failed to reach seven innings in his last game, making only six innings against the Kansas City Royals. He allowed two earned runs on five hits and eliminated six batters, but was defeated at the end of the day. The Mets are 5-1 out of Syndergaard's last six starts at home, dating back to June 9th.

Who begins for the Indians?

RHP Aaron Civale (1-2, 1.50 ERA) made at least 6.0 innings in his three career debut. The 24-year-old won a victory in his debut against the Detroit Tigers on June 22. He took out six and allowed no race. On his last start on Aug. 16 against the New York Yankees, he lost after allowing eight hits and two earned runs while eliminating four out of six innings.
