There are always injury updates in Mets country, and Sunday brought in some much-needed reinforcements.

Noah Syndergaard

For Pat Boy from Illustrated sports, Noah Syndergaard threw a mound in Philadelphia Sunday morning. In addition to throwing a mound, Anthony DiComo of MLB.com said Synergaard was also throwing a medicine ball from the slope of the mound.

The Mets said Thursday they expected Syndergaard to launch live hitters “soon”.

Jose martinez

José Martínez began a rehabilitation mission in Port St. Lucie on Sunday with the Mets de St. Lucie.

Martinez went 0-2 with a strikeout in three innings. He played all three innings at right field in his first rehab game, and Rojas said he would get time in both corners of the outfield during his rehab.

Francisco lindor

Anthony DiComo from MLB.com reported that Francisco Lindor continued his baseball activities Sunday in Philadelphia as he continues to rehabilitate a strained right oblique.

He’s taken Grounders on the infield, swaying very lightly and, as seen below, his own version of catching that involves contorting your body.

Javier Baez

Mets shortstop Javier Báez left Sunday’s game against the Phillies with tightness in his hips. It has been replaced by Jonathan villar.

Luis Rojas said he was “day to day” and the team will see how he feels after the treatment ahead of Tuesday’s game.
