DALLAS – Republican Governor Kristi Noem of South Dakota on Sunday continued her harsh criticism of President Biden and his Democratic administration, as she presented her conservative credentials to a large gathering of activists and other leaders at the Texas.
“Joe Biden knocked us face down. It’s amazing to me. And we have to get up and repair the damage he’s doing,” Nome accused as she addressed the Political Action Conference. conservative (CPAC) in Dallas.

Noem, a strong ally of former President Donald Trump, stressed that “Trump has America where we want it.” The governor also targeted what she called “the Marxist indoctrination that they teach our children in our schools. It will destroy our country.”
And she shed light on the influx of migrants this year crossing Mexico’s southern border into the United States.
“I was the very first governor to ask for help when Texas and Arizona asked for help, I sent my National Guard troops there to help,” the governor said . “I am grateful that the governors have asked and if the federal government fails to do its job, then it is the governors who will have to step in and do it.”

And in an interview following her speech at CPAC with Fox News ‘Mike Emanuel, she said if she was in the White House right now, “I would get the resources over there to make sure that’ is secure. “
Noem’s National Guard movement has gained attention in recent weeks after reports – confirmed by his office – that a Tory GOP donor helped fund the deployment of members of the South Dakota National Guard to the southern Texas border.
Noem, who is running for re-election in 2022, has become a hero to conservatives over the past year for resisting restrictions linked to the coronavirus pandemic,
“South Dakota was the only state to never close a single business,” she boasted in her speech.

And it’s interesting that Noem has targeted some fellow Republican governors over their actions in the event of a COVID crisis.
“You talk about rewriting history. Let’s talk about rewriting history. We have Republican governors across this country claiming they haven’t closed their states, that they haven’t closed their beaches. . That they did not impose masks. That they did not provide shelter in some places, “she said.” Now I am not fighting with the Republican governors. All I’m saying is we need leaders with courage. “
Even though she dismisses discussions of a White House candidacy in 2024, many pundits see Noem as a potential GOP presidential hopeful if Trump does not run again.
Noem did not mention 2024 during his speech at CPAC.
But a Friday shutdown will fuel more speculation. Noem will be speaking at a major social-conservative conference in neighboring Iowa, whose caucuses for half a century have preceded the presidential nomination calendar.
