Three days ago, MTV announced that Normani would be performing at this year’s Video Music Awards with the television debut of her new single “Wild Side” and boy, she delivered. She wore an Aaliyah-inspired two-piece silver set, which she also sampled for the piece. The singer concluded her performance with a tribute to Janet Jackson’s “Would You Mind” by bringing out the tied up Teyana Taylor. Normani climbed, danced on her and impressed us all. Normani had already played at the VMAs in 2019 with his song “Motivation” and with Fifth Harmony in 2014 and 2017. Cardi B in July. Sadly, Cardi is too busy being a mom to make 2021 VMAs her son. Normani recently made an appearance in Baby Keem and Kendrick Lamar’s “Family Ties” video. His debut album has yet to be announced but we are still looking forward to it.
