The Norwegian Police and Rescue Centers in Northern Norway sent a Sea King helicopter to search for a man at Finnmarksvidda in the late 1930s.
– We received a message from Yesterday, and tonight we did an assessment with the Chief Rescue Center and landed on the shipment of a Sea King helicopter, "said Bjørn-Gunnar Johnsen , director of operations, at NTB.
The man should leave Finnmarksvidda at the Upper Anárjohka National Park, which extends over 1400 square kilometers. He has an appointment with his closest to register every night.
– They have not heard from him in a few days, and there may be several reasons. He is handsome and well equipped and has made this kind of visits many times before, but we take the message seriously and look for it, says Johnsen.
Good relationship
At 2:20, the helicopter was promoted by the last person known to man, and began to search. At 6:30, the helicopter returned to the base without seeing anything for the man.
– We will establish a plan for further progress during the morning hours. We have been working since last night with resources that we are ready to use if we decide to do so, says Johnsen.
He adds that there are good conditions for exploring a helicopter in the area.
