The emergency data ran Sunday afternoon to report a drowning accident on Buerstadstranda near Torød on Nøtterøy. Police were informed of the accident at 2 pm
First aid was quickly started, but life was not ready to be saved.
At 3:10 pm, a doctor said that the man was dead.
The author is a man in the late 80s who lives in Torød, says the police
– He was found at random at the water's edge by a person, informs the leader Rune Andersen at Tønsbergs Blad. The Tønsbergs Blad reporter on the spot spoke to people who found the man.
They tell them that they found them at the water's edge just before 2 pm and started first aid and reported to the emergency services.

A Sea King rescue helicopter from the Air Force landed on site and was ready. A Red Cross boat also came to the place.
