Tax Office warns of new attempts at fraud

Many have been exposed to a new phishing attempt in recent weeks, hiding their personal information as a password, in connection with the tax settlement, says the tax administration.

The epost may contain information saying that ready for payment. Others have received an email that simply says, "You have received a new message.Click here to read."

Evry or the tax office is said to be the sender. Both variants are a phishing attempt, and the tax administration recommends that recipients delete emails.

– Taxation never asks users to click on links, reply to emails, or disclose information. If you receive an email that appears to be from the tax office, you must delete the links, "explains Ernst Larsen, senior advisor to the Commission for Tax Administration Communication
