Just after 2 pm on Wednesday afternoon, the Nordland police received a message about a fallen man in Saltstraumen, southeast of Bodø, in Nordland.
– It seemed that no one had fallen into the water. Nordland District Police Operations Director Remi Johansen was found on television shortly after the incident.
The man was removed from the water by people on the spot and received medical attention from the ambulance personnel. At 7:45 pm, the Nordland Police District announced that the life of the man was not going to save.
The author is a Norwegian who was on vacation in Nordland. The accident occurred when the man was bathed in Saltstraumen.
The parents of the male have been warned.
