Make Netflix an integral part of the TV experience.
Earlier this year, Canal Digital's satellite channel – today, Canal Digital – launched the new OnePlace digital box based on the Google TV Android platform.

The solution offers one of the simplest and most elegant user experiences on a TV box market. It's mostly close integration with Google's own services and, above all, a wide range via the Play Store which makes it very useful.
This means, among other things, that Chromecast has been integrated for streaming from a mobile.
A voice search that actually works
The most important feature is perhaps a voice search feature that actually works – and that allows you to search for content through a variety of built-in features.
For example, if you search for "Peppa Pig", you get weekly archive hits, movie rentals, exclusive TV channel archives, and Canal Digital movie and series archives.
We have tested the system several times and I must admit that it works surprisingly well. When searching for content, we only found that our orders were misinterpreted – in Norwegian or English.
The only bomb we encountered was searched for in the "QI" show of the BBC, interpreted by Google as "Q I" – that is to say with spaces. Thus, we had no success.
Now, Netflix integrates
And next week, a new update of the platform will be launched, as many will probably appreciate: Netflix is now very closely integrated with the overall TV experience. In fact, Netflix gets its own channel that takes you directly to the application.
More importantly, Netflix content is now available from one of the two voice search services available on the box.
"We have promised our customers to bring together the most relevant and relevant content in our offering, and by integrating Netflix with our other content, we are giving customers access to even more series, movies and other content," he said. Tone Krohn Clausen, product and digital director of Canal Digital.
The actual global search comes next year
The disadvantage is that the dialog box always has two distinct search features that affect partially and partially nested content. This means that you need to know, to a certain extent, where to look for a match.
Canal Digital, head of communications at Tormod Sandstø, said they were working on a real global research that will be launched in 2019, where everything is merged.
Parade next week
The new update will be distributed to Canal Digitals with approximately 800,000 Scandinavian customers between Monday and Wednesday next week.
"We are officially launching on Wednesday, but the first customers will already receive updates on Monday," Sandstø said.
