The US-based Nikola Motor Company, which is developing hybrid carriers, said in a press release Monday that it will display its new truck, Nikola Tre, at the Nikola World Fair in Phoenix, US, in April.
The truck, which bears the name "Tre" precisely because it means the number 3 in Norwegian, is electric hydrogen and destined for the European market, the company said in a press release.
"This truck is really sensational and has not done a lot of overtime for Europe," said Nicolas' founder and CEO, Trevor Milton, in a press release.

Must be tested on Norwegian roads
Nikola has chosen Norway as a test country for the truck and plans to start testing on Norwegian roads by 2020.
Where in Europe the truck will be manufactured is not decided yet.
The Norwegian hydrogen company Nel is already working closely with Nikola on hydrogen stations around the world and has invested in the US company, which is also Nelspruit's largest customer at the latest $ 5 million.

In the press release, Nikola writes that they are working in partnership with Nel on the development of hydrogen stations in the United States and that the same thing will happen for Europe.

Nikola's European charging stations are expected to be operational by 2022 and will cover most of the European market by 2030.
