Taxpayers show that a number of Norwegian artists have had a lucrative year in 2017.
It is not surprising that two Bergen EDM artists had a very good year.
Neither Walker nor Kygo can measure with Arve Tellefsen, 81 years old. In 2017, the violinist earned a total of 84.7 million.
The sale of a violin is the reason why Tellefsen achieved a reduction in sales in 2017. Tellefsen told VG that he had sold a violin Guiseppe Guarneri to 80 million euros. The Fioline bought it for a million crowns in 1970.
The artist Kyrre "Kygo" Gørvell-Dahll ceased its concert activities in 2017. Nevertheless, taxpayers showed that he had more than doubled his assets, which amounted to 52.4 million .
On the revenue side, the figures for 2017 show that the artist earned 5.6 million. It is significantly lower than in 2016, when the fan boom generated 8.1 million kroner.
Thanks to this money, Kygo bought the most expensive house ever sold in Bergen.
Kygo, on the other hand, could not compete with another fanabu.
Quadrupled income
The masked pop artist Alan Walker has recorded a significant increase in his income between 2015 and 2017. While he had a net income of 38 crowns in 2015, he finally realized a turnover of $ 2.8 million the following year.
In 2017, Walker quadrupled his NOK 12 million business figure. The richness of the rock artist has also increased dramatically to NOK 9.7 million.
Both DJs have acquired a multitude of concerts and streaming services such as Spotify, Apple Music and Tidal. According to Spotify's own figures, Gørvell-Dahll and Walker have respectively 24.6 and 18.8 million listeners.
The pop heroes of the 80s always on top
Despite the mountain infants, the pop heroes of the 1980s still have to be taken into account. In 2017, Morten Harket had an income of 5.7 million crowns and a net worth of 10.7 million.
The band's colleague, Magne Furuholmen, does not appear on the income list in 2017, but returned to salt in the porridge with a wealth of 6.65 million.
The last man of a-ha, Pål Waaktaar-Savoy, is also not counted with income. In addition, it has the largest asset of 14.3 million euros.
Taxpayers also show that Karpe Diem had a good year 2017. The duo doubled revenue by 2.9 million euros for Magdi Omar Ytreeide Abdelmaguid and 3.1 million euros for Chirag Rashmikant Patel . The latter also increased its assets to NOK 6.98 million.
