– I unfortunately have no good news to announce, says meteorologist Bjart Eriksen when he will summarize the weather forecast for next week. He specializes in giving monthly warnings, for example, using American weather models.

Even in the remainder of July, he thinks there will be a good continuous summer time in the north. Just a day sometimes in the gray weather. Sola can also be seen in short periods on the many gray days that we have to wait, writes Nordlys.

At the end of May, Bjart Eriksen arrived with a dark weather for the junior. And he was largely right.

The first week will alternate with a lot of clouds and relatively low temperatures for the season. The weather improves as you go. For example, it will be better for Finnmarksvidda than on the coast. It also becomes better in the south of northern Norway than you come. The Mo i Rana region may have the best summer weather in the north, but Bjart Eriksen will not get a good summer time either. It will be relatively cool in the towns of Bodø, Harstad and Tromsø on the northern coast.

The reason for the pleasant summer climate in the north is that the high pressures lie above southern Scandinavia. It gives offshore winds between the southwest and north-west in northern Norway. And they bring clouds, precipitation and lower temperatures.

– There is no high pressure in sight of Kola, says Bjart Eriksen after studying weather patterns.

He recommends Norwegians looking for a good summer time, be it south or east. For the Bothnian Bay area, the forecasts indicate more than 20 degrees and little precipitation.

It does not look promising for the time of August. But Eriksen points out that the models are much more uncertain in advance. Just a few days ago, it seemed much better for the August time in the north. Then, we expected that the strong pressures come further north. But then the forecast changed a few days ago. The highs are located above southern Scandinavia. Eriksen comforts us as the August forecast can still change.
