This shows the magazine Motors writes accident analysis reports from the Norwegian public administration.
In 2015, 2016 and 2017, Motor has been the subject of 51 reports of accidents due to winter accidents. In many of these deaths, it is established that the wrong tires contributed to the accident.
Guro Ranes, Road Safety Department of the Public Roads Administration, says that the 2017 total accident analysis reports show that 26% of fatal crashes are attributable to the vehicle's technical conditions.
– As a rule, tires or brakes are the same. Some tires are so bad that you may wonder that people dare to drive them with them, "said Guro Ranes.
Ranes says it's important that the level of knowledge about tires be increased.
"Be aware of the risks associated with driving with worn or worn tires, check that the tires are properly mounted and steer to differentiate the quality of the tires, including through independent consumption tests", continues she.
