The heat will not come out. This weekend, a 63-year-old tropical record has been broken at Buskerud, and we can have more waiting.
It was the weather station from Gulsvik to Buskerud that measured 30.7 degrees from night to Sunday, it reports yr.no. It was the 20th tropical day up here this year, which is two more than the previous record.

The old record was measured at Kongsberg with its 18 tropical days in 1955, but there is still disagreement over the record that was reached this weekend. The Meteorological Institute is based on the record of 1955, but Bernt Lie weather statistics mean that it is an older record that was melted on Sunday. He thinks it was recorded 20 days in 1901.

Sigdal is 19 days away from the year 1955 and so is a challenger for Gulsvik. The last tropical night Norway experienced on August 26, 1947, so it is only to see if this record is being reached next September.
